Karl Mordo, also known as Baron Mordo, is a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor.

He is first seen in the movie *Dr. Strange* (2016), initially as a Master of the Mystic Arts and a mentor to Dr. Stephen Strange.

In the *Dr. Strange* movie he helps train Dr. Strange in the mystic arts and is loyal to the Ancient One and her teachings.

By the conclusion of *Dr. Strange*, Mordo becomes disillusioned, believing that the misuse of magic has corrupted the natural order. In a post-credit scene, he declares his intention to rid the world of sorcerers, establishing him as a future antagonist.
